If you’re looking for fun winter and snow activities, Mt Hood Ski Bowl is a great choice. There are so many ways to take advantage of Mt. Hood’s snow season. I recently wrote a post about Mt. Hood Meadows, but today it’s all about “Ski Bowl.”
Ski Bowl, as many know it, is only about 15 minutes from Whispering Woods so it’s easily accessible.
For those who enjoy variety, there are several ways to play in the snow at Ski Bowl. For example, you can snowboard, ski, and snow tube during the daytime or evening, and enjoy the Snow Tube & Adventure Park if you’re a non-skier but still enjoy the snow.

Head to Ski Bowl’s Snow Tube & Adventure Park for daytime show tubing. Ski Bowl provides single and multiple-rider tubes for you and your family or friends to ride down the giant, snow-covered hill.
You can either make the trek up the side of the hill by foot or ride the conveyor lift to the top. It takes way less effort to ride on the lift!

I’ve been day tubing and cosmic tubing and I have to be honest, nighttime cosmic tubing is freezing but it’s pretty cool. The snow is lit up with colorful lights, they play loud music, and it’s a really fun experience.
With over 600,000 LED lights and laser light shows, this is the perfect activity to do with a group of friends.
REMEMBER: You can only go on Saturdays through the end of pre-season, which ends on December 9. Cosmic Tubing at Ski Bowl is open nightly with three session times:

Mt Hood Ski Bowl is the closest ski resort to Portland, Oregon, and has some of the best skiing around. Ski Bowl has 34 fully-lit runs, a vertical drop of 1,500 feet, and a total of 65 runs.
It’s great for all skill levels, from beginning to advanced. In fact, Ski Bowl boasts the most Black Diamond runs of any Oregon ski resort.
