Buck Lake

By Kelsey Samsel | Hiking

Buck Lake is located about an hour away from Whispering Woods Resort. The trail itself is only about a mile round-trip and is best used from May-October. The water in the lake is crystal clear and you can see all the way to the bottom. Keep your eye out for fish and salamanders!

If you are interested in camping, there are a few campsites along this trail. You can also bring your own raft (or rent one on the way) and take it out on the lake.

Things To KNOw

  • No toilets or garbage cans nearby so come prepared to take your trash with you when you leave
  • Dogs are allowed on a leash
  • This hike is kid-friendly
